Honouring Female ICT Forerunners

ECITI incubated enterprise owner Khanyisa Ngewu was named one of the winners of the 2015 Women in ICT Awards announced at a business breakfast hosted at the East London ICC on 05 November.

Celebrating the achievements of female forerunners in the ICT industry, the award winners were selected from these categories: sales and marketing, client services, chief information officer, chief technology officer, IT manager, broadcasting, networks and telecommunications.

Other award recipients as selected by a panel of ICT experts were EXBO Managing Director Caro Morgan; Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Department of Computer Science Senior Lecturer Brenda Scholtz; and Department of Roads and Public Works ICT Manager Vuyo Hoho.

Meet ECITI’s winner

Khanyisa established On the Record in 2012 basing its operations at ECITI’s East London-based incubator. Within the second year of operations, she setup the Port Elizabeth office to expand reach to the western part of the Eastern Cape province. She is an accredited public relations practitioner (Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa) with a vision of positioning On the Record as South Africa’s premier brand communication and reputation management consultancy.
