Ocean Media Co-operative Limited is an experiential creative media cooperative limited based in East London, Eastern Cape, specializing in producing audiovisuals, graphics, web development, Television Broadcast, film productions and entertainment. Our creative media projects and artistic events provide creative exposure and communications for the community, private and government sectors working on unity, social justice, environment and economic development.
The cooperative was established in 2008 as a young dynamic, creative, training and development entrepreneurial venture. Ocean Media Medi-A-rts is a network of human resources, a hub of creative forces, a social structure organized for the benefit of its members and the community.
Those involved established the cooperative with a vision to bring the diverse media industry closer to the untapped market of the Eastern Cape and socio-economic development of its members.
As it is widely known that most creative media and arts companies are in big cities and owned by the minority, the cooperative has foreseen this adventure as an opportunity to further introduce and develop future young creative media and arts professionals for the industry in the Eastern Cape, also to encourage locally talented youth to stay and plough back to their communities to assist with economic and social development of the region, as most media and arts practitioners leave the Eastern Cape for greener pastures in big cities.

The cooperative unique vision is to be a first class, community driven, profitable and sustainable entity, highly specialized and thoroughly networked with local market responsiveness, adding value to it's members, the community and it's clients on a broader perspective, while maintaining and exceeding the industry standards on all levels, operating at the most efficient cost.

Ocean Media produces artistic events and creative Medias to educate, enrich and expand community consciousness.Our philosophy encompasses the belief that this venture is an exciting and essential part of socio- economic development process and that creative talent in the media and arts is innate and waiting to be developed in the corporate business sector.
